When we say crash, we usually mean a car accident. Crash, the film debut of Paul Haggis direction, speaking precisely of conflicts among human beings. These conflict are mostly because the prejudice different professions, ethnicities, religions, races, training, in big cities. Stories that intertwine as parachoques in some moments, but then disengage and each follows its course. Some mourn their dead, others say the beloved “I love you”, some embraced their children, others mourn their lives.
Paul Haggis, screenwriter of success, author, among other things, the roadmap of the Golden Girl, winner of the Oscar this year, got the idea for this movie in 1991 when they stole his car in Los Angeles. The loss, the involvement with police, authorities, etc., has made him reflect on life in big cities, the power of organizations such as TV, cinema, business and especially justice, health system and police and reach the conclusion that just postures “politically correct” give rise to prejudice.
And people who have never seen before in the way victims of racist and discriminatory thinking of others. First, two young blacks who steal the car of a white couple solely because they were mistreated in a restaurant. Then, a young Mexican who exchange barbs with a Persian owner of a shop broken and stolen daily by one of these groups’ anti-Arab. ” A black detective and his girlfriend of Latin origin. The junkie mother, his brother thug. The couple formed by the white prosecutor vain husband and wife who loves and appear hysterical think that is unfortunate.
Who pays attention note that Haggis uses the same environments and poorly lit esfumaçados of the Golden Girl. As in the film that won the Oscar, indeed, the surprise is that the film is no longer one of those policemen out there who will spend months in any channel on TV. No. Crash is human. It’s life as she is. Without trials. It Korean interacting with whites who do not distinguish Asians from Africa. It is a day that the police are horrified behavior of the partner, the other day save someone from unjust imprisonment, but the third kills by accident.
Crash is the drama of dondoca not know why it is unfortunate that rolls up the stairs and her friend rich and white can not save it to be taking massage. She then accepts the victory of Puerto employed. It is the Persian horrified by him confused with an Arab, the wife of a TV director for african-American who passes by sexual abuse and need to exonerate her husband and at the same time is saved by the same white police he intimated the day before. Crash happens in Los Angeles, but could be environmental concerns in Sao Paulo, Rio, London, a major city, where people should put up with it in the name of “brotherhood” (the movie shows the time it is time for Christmas) fight, discuss , Is close, exchanging shots, steal.
For the cast, Paul Haggis gold mining names of the general public. Don Cheadle, nominated for Oscar for Best Supporting Actor this year by Hotel Rwanda, is the black detective with the mastery of all time. Sandra Bullock is just an adjuvant. It is the promoter’s wife who has the stolen car and then scroll down stairs. Brendan Fraser is the husband. Matt Dilon is the tough cop with the blacks who fight for the health plans allow the surgery patient’s father. Chris Ludacris Larence Bridge and Tate are by car thieves. Shaun Toub is the Persian Farhad, who Design of the most dramatic scenes. If any of these names is indicated to the Oscar is not surprising. In addition, there is THandle Newton, the african american harassed by police, and Terrence Howard, the director of TV. Supporting cast, yes. But this story, as in everyday life, all the actors are actors. Until the Sandra Bullock, even as a mere decoy in promotional posters.

Blond hair, thin, some kind of gray in her eyes, Dido has a name of a queen. But her name is not this. Florian Cloud Bounevialle O’Malley Armstrong is the real name of this singer, born in the Christmas Day in 1971 in London, now a days one of the top of list in the hit parades. She has alread sold more than 25 millions of CDs worldwide. Her mother is a french poet and her father an irish publisher and her eldest brother is the record producer Rollo.
Dido was educated at Thornhill Primary, Dallington, City of London Girls’ and Westminster School. After she stole a recorder from school at age five, her parents enrolled her at the Guildhall School of Music in London, England. By the time she reached her teens Dido had learned to play the piano, recorder and the violin. She later studied law at Birkbeck, University of London, while working as a literary agent. She never completed the degree, deciding instead to take up music full-time. After learning the guitar, she showcased her skills to audiences during her 2004 Life for Rent tour.n 1995, Dido began recording demo tracks which were put together on a collection entitled Odds & Ends and sent out by Nettwerk management.
Nettwerk had signed her after she was brought to their attention by her collaborations with Faithless (Dido co-wrote and provided vocals for album tracks, such as “Flowerstand Man” and “Hem of His Garment”) and the UK dance act spearheaded by her brother, Rollo Armstrong. The collection was released by Nettwerk on CD-R acetate in 1995 and featured a mixture of finished productions and demo versions which she later considered for release on her debut album, released in 1999 as No Angel. Odds & Ends brought her to the attention of Arista Records, who signed her in the USA, striking a deal with her brother’s record label, Cheeky Records, to co-sign her. Of the tracks included on Odds & Ends, “Take My Hand” was included on all editions of No Angel as a bonus track; “Sweet Eyed Baby” was remixed and renamed to “Don’t Think of Me”, while “Worthless” and “Me” were released exclusively on the Japanese edition.
Dido started recording her fourth album just months after releasing her third album Safe Trip Home, which lacked the heavy promotion of her previous two albums. Dido stated in July 2009 that her fourth album, still untitled, will have an electronic approach, which is totally different to the organic direction she took with the previous album.
Upon the release of No Angel in 1999, after a long time promoting the album, Dido broke up with her fiancé, entertainment lawyer Bob Page, after a seven-year relationship. While she has described her departure from him as her becoming “a free agent in every sense”, the two remain friends. A few songs on her No Angel album were written with him in mind (”Thank You” was written about missing him), and she thanked him publicly upon winning the Songwriter of the Year award at the Ivor Novello Awards, adding, “The song ‘Thank You’ still sums up that relationship. Being single might make my album more psycho this time”

Bee Gees – Stayin’ Alive
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk
Music loud and women warm,
I’ve been kicked around since I was born
And now it’s all right, it’s okay
you may look the other way
We can try to understand
The New York Times’ effect on man
Whether you’re a brother or whether you’re a mother
You’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Feel the city breakin’ and everybody shakin’
And you’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive
Oh, when you walk
Well, now I get low and I get high
And when I can’t get either, I really try
Got the wings of heaven on my shoes
I’m a dancin’ man and I just can’t lose
You know, it’s all right, it’s okay
I’ll live to see another day
We can try to understand
The New York Times’ effect on man
Whether you’re a brother or whether you’re a mother
You’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Feel the city breakin’ and everybody shakin’
And you’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me
Somebody help me yeah
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me yeah
I’m stayin’ alive
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk
Music loud and women warm
I’ve been kicked around since I was born
And now it’s all right, it’s okay
you may look the other way
We can try to understand
The New York Times’ effect on man
Whether you’re a brother or whether you’re a mother
You’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Feel the city breakin’ and everybody shakin’
And you’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me
somebody help me yeah!
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me yeah!
I’m stayin’ alive

One of the greatest rock band of the 70’s and 1980’s, Queen – with Freddie Mercury on the vocals – gave us a lot of hits, like these
Teo Torriate
When I’m gone
Don’t need to wonder if I ever think of you
The same moon shines
The same wind blows
For both of us, and time is but a paper moon. . . be not gone
Though I’m gone
It’s just as though I hold the flower that touches you
A new life grows
The blossom knows
There’s no one else could warm my heart as much as you. . . be not gone
Let us cling together as the years go by
Oh my love, my love
In the quiet of the night
Let our candle always burn
Let us never lose the lessons we have learned
Teo torriate konomama iko
Aisuruhito yo
Shizukana yoi ni
Hikario tomoshi
Itoshiki oshieo idaki
Hear my song
Still think of me the way you’ve come to think of me
The nights grow long
But dreams live on
Just close your pretty eyes and you can be with me. . . dream on
When I’m gone
They’d say we’re all fools and we don’t understand
Oh be strong
Don’t turn your heart
We’re all
You’re all
For all
For always. . .
(this music is written parts in english and part in japanese)
Who Wants To Live Forever
There’s no time for us
There’s no place for us
What is this thing that builds our dreams
yet slips away from us
Who wants to live forever?
Who wants to live forever?
Ohhh…
There’s no chance for us
It’s all decided for us
This world has only one sweet moment
set aside for us
Who wants to live forever?
Who wants to live forever?
Ohhh…
Who dares to love forever?
Oh oh
When love must die?
Then touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can live forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today
Who wants to live forever?
Who wants to live forever?
Forever is our today
Who waits forever anyway?
(this music was played in the film Highlander)

We”re caught in a trap
I can”t walk out
Because I love you too much baby
Why can”t you see
What you”re doing to me
When you don”t believe a word I say?
We can”t go on together
With suspicious minds
And we can”t build our dreams
On suspicious minds
So, if an old friend I know
Drops by to say hello
Would I still see suspicion in your eyes?
Here we go again
Asking where I”ve been
You can”t see these tears are real
I”m crying
We can”t go on together
With suspicious minds
And we can”t build our dreams
On suspicious minds
Oh let our love survive
Or dry the tears from your eyes
Let”s don”t let a good thing die
When honey, you know
I”ve never lied to you
Mmm yeah, yeah

I have read some lines in a blog: today, is Elizabeth Taylor”s birthday. It means that she is piscian (like me and the doll Barbie). Been born in the same horoscop of Liz it is for me a great honor. She is one of the greatest movie star we have ever heard.
Born in february 27th, 1932, in Hampstead, London, UK. She started working in cinema when she was a young girl and has never stopped. Her long carreer has resulted in two Oscar, a Jean Hersholt Humanitary Award (this prize is also given by the American Academy of Movie Science and Arts), and many other awards.
In spite of the fact Liz won the Oscar of best actress by Butterfield 8 and Who”s affraid of Virginia Wolf, she became more famous by her role in Cleopatra. She is a very talentous actress, with a long filmography, but people knows much more about her personal and love life.
She got married many times. Her most famous husband was Richard Burton, with whon she married twice and worked in many films during the 60″s years. But she is also involved with filantropic purposals, she was one of the first person to fight against AIDS.

When the soap “Senhora do Destino” was broadcasted, some years ago, one music call many people atention: the closest things to crazy. Because this song, its performer, Katie Melua, became well known among brazilians. We all ask, who is this singer with such a sweet voice, sing ballads like this or reviving some old hits like “just when i need you the most”?
Katie Melua was born in Georgia, in the ex-URSS, in september 16, 1984. In 1993, she moved with her parents to the North Ireland, where her father got a job as a heart surgeon. The family lived in Belfast for five years before moving to South East London. After her GCSEs, Katie joined the Brit School for Performing Arts where she undertook a BTEC and Music A-level. Composer/producer Mike Batt paid a visit to the school. Katie signed to Batt”s record label Dramatico, but stayed at the Brit School to complete her studies where she graduated with distinction in July 2003.
Her first album was Calling off the search – which contains “the clothest thing to crazy” – who became a megahit. After, she produced Piece by Piece, with the hit Nine Million Bycicles, and Pictures, released two years ago, which has delighted her legions of fans, confirmed Katie”s status as a unique and remarkable vocalist, and revealed the third chapter in what is destined to be a long musical career.
She has been dedicating to charity proposal like famine people, suffering children and so on. Because that, she has traveled around the world and has met Nelson Mandela in person in South Africa visiting his AIDS charity. She also like danger and radical sports like car races, and because her tastes, she has been considered an adrenaline junker. She became a british citzen in 2005 and can speak english, georgian, and other languages.
To sing along with her:
The Closest Thing to Crazy
Katie Melua
How can I think I”m standing strong,
Yet feel the air beneath my feet?
How can happiness feel so wrong?
How can misery feel so sweet?
How can you let me watch you sleep,
Then break my dreams the way you do?
How can I have got in so deep?
Why did I fall in love with you?
[CHORUS:]
This is the closest thing to crazy I have ever been
Feeling twenty-two, acting seventeen,
This is the nearest thing to crazy I have ever known,
I was never crazy on my own…
And now I know that there”s a link between the two,
Being close to craziness and being close to you.
How can you make me fall apart
Then break my fall with loving lies?
It”s so easy to break a heart;
It”s so easy to close your eyes.
How can you treat me like a child
Yet like a child I yearn from you?
How can anyone feel so wild?
How can anyone feel so blue?
[CHORUS]
